about us

Haverford Pty Ltd was Established in 1888 by J H Fuller. He managed the firm through wars and depression until 1952. Joining the firm at 16 years of age in 1926, J A Fuller followed in his fathers footsteps directing the company until failing health led to his retirement in 1987.

The company is now directed by Robert Winney and continues to supply a large range of netting, rope and tackle used for:

fishing
decoration
aquaculture
safety
bird control
sports and more.

We do our utmost to ensure that all goods we offer are of the finest quality, and are at competitive prices. We are proud of our service, but you can rest assured we will never rest on our laurels.

Who do we supply? Haverford supplies direct to the public the following items:

All netting - including prawn drag nets, cast nets, bait nets etc
All rope and twine
All netting accessories - including Net Floats, Net leads, Net Dyes and Net Needles
Lobster Pots
Wet Weather Gear

We do however, only supply our fishing tackle range on a wholesale basis to tackle shops and other retailers. (see right for a credit account application)

The large range of product held in stock ensures prompt delivery. As well as goods held in store, enquiries for specially-made netting & tackle are welcomed. Major jobs have included the supply of netting for the Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony and Brisbane Expo'88. Haverford have also supplied net and rope for use in polular television shows Survivor, and The Biggest Loser. A large amount of stock is also exported to the Pacific Islands, New Zealand, The United States, Africa and Europe.

Netting - Sydney Olympics 2000

Haverford Pty Ltd were pleased to supply the Heavy-duty P/E netting required to support the "Aboriginal Wandjina" display at the Sydney 2000 Olympic opening ceremony.

The netting was specifically cut & sewn by netmaker Bob Martin.

1200 square metres of netting was required, with the finished "flag" weighing over 380kg
